A Million Books, A Million Bucks, A Million Lives

Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself. – Leo Tolstoy

You must be the change you wish to see in the world. – Mahatma Gandhi

One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. – Carl Jung

We transform the world by transforming ourselves. This is an idea I’ve been fascinated with for a long time. Two very big transformations happened this fall, I published my book, Seeding the Soul, and I began working for a non-profit called SAFE. This organization helps women with one of the biggest life transformations they’ll ever make, leaving domestic or sexually abusive situations. This transformation not only helps women and their children, but also their community and ultimately society at large. In the final analysis we are all connected and our actions have a ripple effect.

Ultimately this is the work of finding our voice, which just happens to be something else I’ve been passionate about for a very long time. Somehow in finding our own voice we help others find theirs. That’s how this book came into being, an act of acknowledging everything and everyone that’s shaped my life and helped me along the way. It’s meant to help you plant new ways of thinking and being in order to create more wholeness and meaning and get you to what’s next in your life. This is the process we are all engaged with in one way or another, coming into our own. And it is this very work that will have an impact on the lives of others and our communities.

So I thought these two should meet. The book is meant to help you transform your own life but now you can also help transform the life of another you’ve never met. The goal is to sell a million books, for each book sold I’ll donate one dollar to SAFE so they can continue the fight to help women transform themselves and in the process transform their children, families, and communities, creating a new life that’s filled with love, hope, and a positive future.

Let’s put our money where our voices are, and change another’s life by changing our own. A million books, a million bucks, a million lives, together we can help women transform their lives and live their dreams.
