Are we in a bad relationship with more? Has more gotten a bad rap? Do we habitually stop ourselves before we even start to ask for more? Maybe we are secretly judging ourselves, calling ourselves greedy or ungrateful to even think about wanting more. Or have we become so used to making do with what’s handed to us that we’ve stopped questioning if it’s even what we want? Maybe we’re looking for more in all the wrong places. Where we need to be asking for more isn’t in the realm of the material but in the places of heart and soul, in joyful and resonant spaces, and in the things that make us grow, expand, and feel at home in our own skin.
To get to this kind of more we have to stop complaining about what always seems to be missing or waiting for someone else to give us what we want and start asking for what our soul needs. More love, more joy, more fulfillment, more of whatever makes us feel safe and whole, aligned and alive. This is not the time to shrink back and wait for a magical something to appear or someone else to fill in our blanks. What more is really asking of us is clarity and conviction, to know what matters to us on a soul level and then go for it, without hesitation or second guessing ourselves from the sidelines. It’s important to remember there will never be a perfect moment or just the right time, sometimes we have to jump in. Jump in without knowing exactly what will come or in what way it will arrive.
Getting more familiar with what lies outside of our comfort zone inches us closer to what it is our soul really craves. Moving in the direction of a more that feeds us will show the way even if the outcome isn’t crystal clear. If something is pushing you towards your more that seems unusual or unexpected you’re being asked to listen intently and see what emerges out of the unknown. You may be unsure, you may get it wrong, but that doesn’t matter, what matters is that you begin moving in new ways that mean something to you. The alternative is staying stuck, stagnating in limitation, and living below the radar of serendipity. Now is not the time for any of that. The world needs you happy and whole if only to show others it’s possible. It’s how we can each shed some light in a sea of darkness.
It’s time for each of us to live our more out loud more often. Let the sweet dreams that circle around you come into reality one small step at a time. The truth is anything is possible if you are willing to consistently tend to it. Don’t let perfection or a grand scale stop you, your more may look like less. It may be simple and unassuming, streamlined and straightforward. It’s your more, let it be what matters to you, what makes you feel alive, and makes your heart unfurl.
Listen to what’s calling you and follow where your more leads.
