That Day Is Here

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. – Anais Nin

The biggest thing to happen this week – 2020 is over. The crazy ride that had us all on the edge has ended. And although the day to day might not change that much, the energy has certainly shifted and that changes everything.

Last year prompted each of us to undergo the most radical internal changes which shifted how we view ourselves and the world. We were forced to bloom in the ways we think, our priorities, and re-evaluate what matters most. If there’s anything 2020 taught us it’s that we’re more connected than we ever imagined and that what happens halfway around the world impacts us all.

What used to work no longer does, at least not in the same prescribed ways. The truth is we are forever going forward and expanding, growing into something more. We don’t remain stagnant, status quo, or frozen in time, it’s not natural. Blooming asks us to have a bigger vision for ourselves as well as the world. This is the energy 2020 gave us and we’re being asked to carry this bigger vision and deeper understanding further forward and into everything we do. Big changes that ask us to think in new ways and reinvent ourselves.

It’s not possible to stay tight in the bud of what’s been, or of what’s comfortable and known. We, my friends, are in uncharted territory that contains the rich soil in which to bloom bigger than we ever imagined. It’s time to level up. It’s time to dream big. What that is for each of us will be different. We will all bloom into the song of ourselves in our own ways and at our own pace. But make no mistake we are being asked to open, think on a larger scale and in a more interconnected way than we ever thought we could.

Is there any greater New Year’s wish? Get ready to blossom into a life that expresses and honors your deepest self and your role in the greater whole.
